Review: I read this one awhile ago and I'm not exactly sure how well I remember it. I'll try my best to give you guys a good accurate review though. Personally I really quite enjoyed this book. It was a different twist on the whole paranormal thingy. For me when I think of paranormal books I think of vampires, ghosts, faeries and stuff like that. This is kind of ghosty, but more of the whole past life stuff more. It was interesting story, that was quite unique. I liked it because it wasn't the stereo typical story. I have read over and over again the same type of books with the same type of story line about the same type of thing. Personally I thought this was kind of a refreshing book it read. I know that some complain about it lacking in the romance departement, but I personally needed a break from all that stuff and I liked that it wasn't as heavy on the romance and focused a lot on the mystery plot developement.
Review: I actually am not sure that I can give you all a good acurate review. I didn't actually do a good job reading this book. I started it and then got kind of bored with it. I don't really know why, but I didn't like it nearly as much as the other paranormal books out there. After a few days I came back and rushed through it. Since I did this I cannot be sure if other people would like it or not. My personal opinion would be that it wasn't worth it. I got a hardcover and it was expensive! But anyway, I don't really think that it measures up to some of the other books out there. It was good, but not good enough to really stand out.

Some stagehands come out and stop Ren from pulling the head off. They say something about editing this out of the show and how they quickly went to break. Everything goes back to normal. At least as normal as it can be with Ren and Bo glaring at each other. I wonder who Bo really is. (Ren). AHHH! That was soo close! I can't believe he almost found out I'm Bo(Kyoko). The two of them were so deep in thought that they didn't realize that the show came back from commercial. After a couple of awkward seconds the host quickly continued…
Finally the show was wrapping up. Kyoko and Ren actually began to enjoy it after the initial problems. That is until the end. The host says "Well thank you Bo, and Tsuruga Ren we certainly enjoyed having you on our show today. It was interesting to say the leat. Now ladies and gentleman we have Fo Shuwa here today to perform his newest song." Lots of clapping and noise coming from the audience. Ren and Bo were glaring again, this time not at each other. They were staring at the singer Fo Shuwa. The hate waves coming off the two of them caused the room's temperature to drop suddenly…
After the show wrapped up Kyoko rushed into her dressing room to change. Ren still wanting to know who Bo really was ended up finding her in her dressing room while she was getting out of the Bo suite. "Kyoko?" Ren was really surprised. I can't believe that she knows how I feel. Meanwhile Kyoko was on the floor apologizing. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to deceive you. I just wanted to help and you seemed so depressed those times. Please forgive me your lowly kohai." Ren was stunned. Did he have to spell it out for her? It seems that she still hasn't caught on that Ren is in love with her. "Kyoko do you need a ride home?" Ren asked…
That night there were two people who couldn't seem to go to sleep. Kyoko was up all night thinking of earlier. Ren said that he wasn't mad, but he sure seemed like it. She was thinking of the ride home. Ren barely talked at all to her. I knew it. He's mad. Maybe I'll apologize again in the morning. Around 2 am Kyoko was finally able to fall asleep. Meanwhile Ren was up thinking about Kyoko. He was surprised and quite annoyed that she still hasn't figured out that he loves even though he made it really clear. That night he fell asleep worried about what the next day would bring…
Kyoko woke up early this morning. She was still half asleep when she made it downstairs and was about to leave for LME. Kyoko was surprised to find Ren waiting outside for. "Do you need a ride?" "No, I'm fine." Kyoko replied. "Kyoko." Ren said while giving her his scary smile. "Are you going to get in?" Kyoko scrambled in while saying hello to Yashiro. She really gets freaked out by that smile. Ren felt bad, but he didn't feel arguing with he right not. The car ride was relatively quite except for Kyoko and Yashiro trying to start a conversation. When they arrived at LME Kyoko jumped out of the car. "Thank you so much Ren. I've gotta go bye." Kyoko bowed and quickly left. "Ren your face is slipping again." Yashiro warned him.
Later in the President's office, Ren and the President were discussing his parents. Apparently they want to visit, but Ren is not very happy. "What if they give the secret away? I came here to make a name for myself and something is bound to go wrong. I want Kyoko to know the truth at least before they come." Ren argued. "Ren, they will respect your wishes, but their your parents. And concerning Kyoko you should just tell her." "I know, I just don't want her to get scared and run away from me, or hate me." Ren frowns falling into a state of depression no one would ever expect to see of Japan's Number 1 Most Desirable Man. "Don't worry Ren she'll come around." Ren stands up and leaves.
A Couple of Days later
Kyoko was out of breath after rushing to the airport. I am so late. I can't believe I lost track of time again like this. When she see Kuu Hizuri she suddenly perks up. "Otou-san!" she screams and runs up to give him a hug. A bunch of people lookup to see a crazy looking girl run up to Kuu Hizuri. All of them are wondering why she is referring to him as otou-san. When giving Kuu a hug Julie steps out from behind them. Kyoko steps back and looks surprise. Julie takes a step forward and gives her other "son" a hug. "Hello I am so happy to finally meet you, Kyoko. You can call be Okaa-san or Julie." Kyoko is still frozen is shock. When she comes back around she smiles and returns the hug. "Okay. Hi Julie."
The three of them get into the limo and drive to the hotel.Emhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09758519788401524936noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5094992438160976319.post-27757467940305092172011-03-07T16:26:00.001-06:002011-09-28T16:43:01.574-05:00Gray Wolf Throne Cover Reveal

First I would like to say sorry. Well here it is and please don't judge me harshly I don't really have any idea what I am doing. Plus I do not own Skip Beat! which this fanfic is based off of.

"Hello ladies and gentleman, and welcome back. Here we have Japan's most desirable man, Tsuruga Ren! So please tell us, I'm sure we all want to know, is there a special someone in your life right now? We all know that you don't really date around, at least no one knows if you do. But everyone has that special somebody, right? So, who's yours?" Ugh, why is it every time I do an interview they ask these questions (Ren). "Well as you guys all know I am very busy. It is hard to really find time to date around. What with all the work I do. So no I do not have that special somebody." Ren gives her his very fake smile. The host clearly trying to get it together. "Well I guess that makes sense." I KNOW!(Host) The host smiles dangerously. "Well then. I know after all these years this might have crossed some people's minds. No one ever hears about your private life. It seems as if you haven't ever had a girlfriend, which is a surprise considering who you are. Could it be possible, are you gay?" Collective gasp from the audience. Image of sweet Kyoko comes to mind. Where do they come up with these ideas.(Ren) The host is slightly uncomfortable. Maybe I shouldn't have said anything. NO! It's not that big a deal. I can ask whatever.(Host) " I mean it certainly seems like it. What about that guy who follows you around everywhere?"

On the other side of Tokyo. A sweet young woman is staring at the TV. Could it be possible? Is Tsuruga-san GAY? Of course not she mutters. He wouldn't talk to Bo about the high school girl if he was.

Back on the show. Tsuruga Ren is trying it keep his annoyance from showing. "Of course not! Just because I don't want to share my private life with the rest of the world doesn't mean that I am gay." The host smiles. She has scented a great story and she won't let is get away. "Well then, why don't prove it. Tell us, is there anyone who has the luck to have caught your eye?" OOOOH! This is going to be BIG!(Host) "I guess I can tell you a little." Cocks his head. "But you have to promise one thing." The host lights up, "What?". Ren smiles, "That will be decided afterwards. So you want to know who I have my sights on?" The host is trying her best to calm down. "YES!"

Back to Kyoko. I wonder who she is. Whoever she is, she is one lucky girl. Kyoko stops as loses herself in fairyland. Someone bumps into her. "WTH are you doing!" Sho yells. Then he realizes it's Kyoko. Kyoko yells something unintelligible, slaps him, and runs off. Sho is left there seething in anger. HOW DARE SHE!(Sho)

"Okay then. I'll tell you three things. I will not tell you guys her name though. First she has no idea that I am totally in love with her. I guess that is part of the reasons I like her. She is really dense and though it is frustrating, it is also quite cute and adorable." The host freaking out! "OMG. So THE Tsuruga Ren can't get the girl that he likes to notice him." Ren clearly annoyed. "I never said that she doesn't notice me. I only said that she doesn't realize that I am in love with her. I have been for about a year." The host totally caught by surprise. "So the most desirable man in Japan is has trouble in the romance department?" Shakes her head. Who would have ever thought that?(host). Ren clearly uncomfortable and trying to get it together sends the host his most bright scary smile. "Okay moving on then. The second thing is that she hates all things having to do with love. I'm not talking about the family type love, or the loving your friends. She has sworn off love forever." The host nods. "Now it makes more sense. One would think that she would realize if YOU were in love with her. Except it makes sense if she doesn't want to fall in love." Looks at Ren sympathetically. "Well that sucks for you. Go on, what's the third thing?" Ren sighs, he just wants to get this over with. "Fine, the third thing is that I have been getting advice from three different people about my "relationship" problems." Totally caught off guard. "Tsuruga Ren, seriously, you of all people are having to get advice from others to woo the girl you love." Shakes her head. This is soo confusing.

Kyoko jumps on her bike and races to her next job. WAHHH! I'm going be late! I can't believe I lost track of time like that. Stupid Sho-baka. This is all your fault. She stops and almost falls over. She runs into the studio to put on her Bo suite. Why do they need to me to dress up as Bo? It's not even for the regular show. I can't believe I'm doing this for this stupid talk show.(Kyoko)

These interviews are so annoying.(Ren) " Not all of the advice is needed or wanted. My manager is one of the three people always trying to give me advice. Sometimes I swear he acts like a teenage girl." Sorry Yashiro.(Ren)

"He is also the guy that you mentioned saying that I might be interested in. May I make it clear that he is also NOT gay. He has a thing for Kanea. At least I think so." OOOH! Sweet revenge.(Ren)

After Kyoko gets dressed in the Bo costume a stagehand comes into the dressing room. She says, "Bo are you ready for your surprise appearance". Kyoko looks up and nods. The stagehand gives her directions. "So he waves to you, you run out there and do what your normally do. Kay?" Kyoko smiles and rushes to her place.

After waiting for the crowd to settle down the host continues. "So who are the other people giving you advice on your love life?" Ren reluctantly continues. "Well everyone knows how the President of LME is. He loves to play love simulation games and all that. He also really enjoys playing around with his actor and actresses' love lives. Boss has been trying really hard to get us together. He loves to give us "missions" and such. Often times they end up putting us in awkward situations. Sometimes I think he does more harm than good. Sorry president. It's the truth. (Ren)

Kyoko! Get ready; it's almost your time to go on. In 1, 2, 3…

The host ponders over this new information. Hmm… "Okay so then who is the third person giving you love advice?" This outta be good, considering everything else he has told us. This is gonna make my career.(Host)

Ren sighs. "This is actually really embarrassing, but I have been getting advice from a chicken." Everyone laughs their heads off. Who would've thought that Japan's number 1 most desirable man would get advice from a chicken. Still trying to stop laughing the host says, "Hahaha, sorry, so you go to a chicken when you need love advice?" I knew I shouldn't have said anything. (Ren) "Hmph, they aren't just any normal chicken. I go to Bo the chicken from theKimagure Rock show." The host still laughing, "Oh, so how'd you guys meet?" Ren chuckles, "Actually I met Bo when I was sulking in the hall way. Don't ask about it, because I won't answer. Anyways Bo helped me out, and then told me that he/she hated me." OH! "So we kept bumping into each other and we kind of became friends.

KYOKO! It's time! GO GO GO.

The host gets her signal. "Oh well this is a surprise. We weren't expecting this. We actually invited Bo the chicken to come here and help out. So say hi to your friend there Tsuruga Ren." Totally surprised Ren says, "Hi"

Bo comes skidding out and totally bewildered. AWWW MAN! I didn't realize that this was the same talk show. What am I going to do! Calm down Kyoko you can do this.(Kyoko) Breathing heavily Bo comes and sits down next to Ren. The host is overjoyed at the turn of events. "So Ren, do you even know the identity of Bo here, and if you do will you please enlighten us." Hmm… moment of awkward silence. "Actually I don't know who my friend Bo really. I would really like to find out though." Ren turns around and tries to take Bo's head off. Kyoko freaks out and starts pecking him. Yelling, "STOP IT!" Then suddenly the hat on Bo's head comes off. It is really similar to the time with the chef hat. Bo starts to freak out. Ren is laughing and tries to apologize while laughing. The whole atmosphere is lighter now. Ren puts the hat back on and tries again the take the head off…
Emhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09758519788401524936noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5094992438160976319.post-80789877420066988832011-02-16T15:50:00.000-06:002011-02-16T15:50:56.413-06:00Waiting on Wednesday (7)
Summary: Jay Asher's brilliant first novel is a moving, highly original story that focuses on a set of audiotapes made by a girl before she committed suicide, and which explain to 13 people the reasons why she decided to end her life. Told in a highly effective duel narrative -- alternating between the girl s voice and the thoughts of a boy who is listening -- this honest, poignant story reveals how other people's actions shape, and by extension can ruin, an individual's faith in people. Intensely powerful and painfully real, Thirteen Reasons Why reveals how brutal high school can be, the consequences of spreading rumors, and the lasting effects of suicide on those left behind.

Book Review:
Thirteen Reasons Why is a pretty serious book. The whole idea is something that shouldn't be taken lightly. One girl, Hannah, commits suicide due to the actions of people in her life. They might not have realized it, but their actions effected her life more than they expected.

Even though this book is all about suicide and quite depressing stuff, I liked it. Thirteen Reasons Why was a breath of fresh air for me. I should probably start reading more books that aren't fantasy. Anyways, when I was reading this book I swear it felt real. The writing was really well done and the whole story seems like it really is something that happened. The whole story had a really serious tone to it. And it really focuses on some stuff that should be talked about more. Like suicide and how your actions can effect people in ways that you would never expect.

Okay so I should probably be talking more about the actual book, right. Oh well, I tend to get sidetracked easily. Anyways I really liked the whole concept. It was well executed as well. I really liked the characters as well. Even though Hannah was dead and all that, I thought that her character was well done. It was kinda cool how she was able to get her message across even after she took her own life. I guess cool isn't the right word, but I can't think of any other words right now. Overall a really good book, that I'm pretty sure most people will enjoy.
To make me feel connected with it. There are few books that do this well. I also love it when a book has believable characters. The ending was satisfying in a way, but it also makes me want to know more at the same time. The Iron Witch had one of my favorite endings.

She had her faults, but that just made her more believable. I don't know why, but I enjoy reading about characters who have faults opposed to those who are "perfect". Anyways I thought that as a character she really brought me into the story. She is the type to be able to kick your butt. But at the same time she is fiercely loyal, a good friend, and is a little naive or innocent in some ways. Over the course of the book I came to admire Donna and relate to her. Donna is different from everyone else. Even those who are part of her world. Throughout the book she becomes more and more confident in being her self, with the help of Xan that is.

This one does. First of all there is Navin. He is the best friend. Yeah most love triangles have the best friend for life in them, but I felt that this one was kinda different. Anyways, Navin is an amazing character in that not only is he Donna's best friend for years, but he keeps her grounded. He is the one that makes her feel normal, which is pretty important to Donna. Then there is Xan. In most love triangles the this guy would be perfect. They would come in and sweep the main character off their feet. This is totally not so in The Iron Witch. Xan, just like Navin and Donna, has his faults. Yeah he is cute and all that, but there is actual depth to him. I hope that the author will reveal more about his character because in this book he is kind of a mysterious character.

Though I liked it, I have to say I have read better. Not that this isn't worth reading. It definitely is. I just liked other books a little bit more. Also it was a little short. I felt that the story its self was a little rushed because of this. Either way I will be looking forward to the next book.
Told in a highly effective duel narrative -- alternating between the girl s voice and the thoughts of a boy who is listening -- this honest, poignant story reveals how other people's actions shape, and by extension can ruin, an individual's faith in people. The good news is, with human society seriously disrupted by economic upheaval and Lucifer increasing the number of demons in all major cities, Atlanta’s local Trappers’ Guild needs all the help they can get – even from a girl. When she’s not keeping up with her homework or trying to manage her growing crush on fellow apprentice, Simon, Riley’s out saving distressed citizens from foul-mouthed little devils – Grade One Hellspawn only, of course, per the strict rules of the Guild. Life’s about as normal as can be for the average demon-trapping teen.

As her whole world crashes down around her, who can Riley trust with her heart – and her life?

Delirium

by Lauren Oliver
Summary: Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing. They didn’t understand that once love - the deliria - blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the governments demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Holoway has always looked forward to the day when she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy.
According to Ponyboy, there are two kinds of people in the world: greasers and socs. A soc (short for "social") has money, can get away with just about anything, and has an attitude longer than a limousine. A greaser, on the other hand, always lives on the outside and needs to watch his back. Ponyboy is a greaser, and he's always been proud of it, even willing to rumble against a gang of socs for the sake of his fellow greasers--until one terrible night when his friend Johnny kills a soc. The murder gets under Ponyboy's skin, causing his bifurcated world to crumble and teaching him that pain feels the same whether a soc or a greaser.
Book Review:
I had to read this book for school about a year ago. It was the first book that we read as a class that year. I was in 7th grade and I loved it. Almost everyone in my grade enjoyed reading it. We spent a lot of time talking about the meaning and themes of this book. It was my favorite book that I read in school that year. Even though we read several other really good books. The story was amazing. Even though I only had to read a couple of chapters a night I couldn't help, but finish it in almost one sitting. From the first chapter I was entranced. It was one of those books that you can't put down. I also liked that the meaning of this book was deeper than most books that I read. It was a refreshing break. We read a lot of books that had heavier meaning to them, but this one really got to me. I loved most of the characters and they were the most believable characters I have ever read about. You can really relate to them whether or not you are like them or not. S.E Hinton is an amazing writer and I am happy that I read this book.
I've been swamped with all my homework and all that. I have 3 or 4 big projects going on right now. So until the summer I might not be posting constantly.

Anyways to my real point of this post. I have just found the joy of reading japanese manga and watching japanese anime. Lately I have been watching as much as I can. I am sad to say though, that I haven't been focusing on reading as much during this time. I loved this book a lot. It has been awhile since I last read a really good book. The beginning was a little boring. No I don't think boring is the right word. I didn't really get into the book until about halfway through. When I did get into it, I found that I loved all the characters and the actual story. The whole idea was really interesting. Plus this is a totally individual book. I haven't read a book quite like this one before. I liked the writing it was okay. The characters were okay as well. They weren't my favorite cast of characters, but they were good. Overall a really good book. I am totally happy that I got to read it!
Instead, Ash has to learn these life lessons the hard way as her dormant powers erupt at the most awkward times. In the wake of a hometown tragedy, Ash transfers to Blackwood Academy, a boarding school nestled in California’s redwoods, where a group of fellow gods-on-earth have mysteriously convened. As if sophomore year couldn’t get any worse, her storm goddess older sister, the wild and unpredictable Eve, resurfaces to haunt Ashline. With a war between the gods looming over Blackwood, Ash must master the fire smoldering within her before she clashes with her sister one final time, which leads us to life-lesson #3:
Book Review:
SOOO CUTE! You'd think that since it was a ghost story that it would be a little darker. It was basically a Romance book for teens. I liked it, but it was mushy. I like some of books where there is romance and I don't like others. I don't know why this is. I guess it has something to do with the writing skills of the author. Well anyways I liked this book. It was another short quick read, and it was light. I mainly wanted to read it because it had a pretty cover. I know that I shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, but I couldn't help myself. As for the story I really liked it. It isn't one of those books that I will read over and over, and never forget, but it was pretty good. I liked the idea that a ghost could still fall in love. Plus I liked the part that Eli played. Normally I'm into series. For some reason I tend not to like books that aren't part of a series. This is definitely an exception. If your looking for a book that is mainly just romance, and is a quick read then this book is for you.
Another paranormal, Young Adult novel. That is all it is. There really isn't that much about it that stands out. I think I'll try and take a break from Paranormal type books. Anyways I liked the story thought. I thought that the idea that some people who die trying to save another's life will come back to life. I also liked the idea that the same thing happens to those who are evil. I read this book mainly because of the idea of the book, but I also read it because I liked the cover. I don't know why, but I thought that this book would be deeper. For me it felt light. There wasn't really any depth. Plus the relationship in between Kate and Vincent was too mushy. That's my personal opinion at least. Either way I liked it. Another book that isn't memorable. It's not one of those books that I will never forget. The characters were okay. Nothing out of the ordinary. Kate was just another sweet girl. Vincent just another mysterious guy. Overall just okay.
Summary:
Alona Dare–Senior in high school, co-captain of the cheerleading squad, Homecoming Queen three years in a row, voted most likely to marry a movie star… and newly dead.

I’m the girl you hated in high school. Is it my fault I was born with it all-good looks, silky blond hair, a hot bod, and a keen sense of what everyone else should not be wearing? But my life isn’t perfect, especially since I died. Run over by a bus of band geeks—is there anything more humiliating? As it turns out, yes—watching your boyfriend and friends move on with life, only days after your funeral. And you wouldn’t believe what they’re saying about me now that they think I can’t hear them. To top it off, I’m starting to disappear, flickering in and out of existence. I don’t know where I go when I’m gone, but it’s not good. Where is that freaking white light already?

Will Killian–Senior in high school, outcast, dubbed “Will Kill” by the popular crowd for the unearthly aura around him, voted most likely to rob a bank…and a ghost-talker.

I can see, hear, and touch the dead. Unfortunately, they can also see, hear and touch me. Yeah, because surviving high school isn’t hard enough already. I’ve done my best to hide my “gift.” After all, my dad, who shared my ability, killed himself because of it when I was fifteen. But lately, pretending to be normal has gotten a lot harder. A new ghost—an anonymous, seething cloud of negative energy with the capacity to throw me around—is pursuing me with a vengeance. My mom, who knows nothing about what I can do, is worrying about the increase in odd incidents, my shrink is tossing around terms like “temporary confinement for psychiatric evaluation,” and my principal, who thinks I’m a disruption and a faker, is searching for every way possible to get rid of me. How many weeks until graduation?
Book Review:
I loved this book. Though it's not one of my favorites I have to say that it was cute. This isn't one of those deep books. It is what it is. The storyline is very straightforward and predictable. I guess if I really wanted to I could find a bunch of little faults throughout the book. Though I do not want to do this. When I review books I just like to say my personal opinion. So my personal opinion on this book is that it is really good. Even though, like I said earlier, the book is predictable I loved it. I really can't wait for the next book in the series Queen of the Dead. I think that this series really has potential. There isn't really much else to day about this book.
He knows that her powers link to dark and dangerous forces, and that he’s one of the few humans left who can fight them. When Alex finds himself falling in love with his sworn enemy, he discovers that nothing is as it seems, least of all good and evil. In the first book in an action-packed romantic trilogy, L. A. Weatherly sends listeners on a thrill ride of a road trip – and depicts the human race at the brink of a future as catastrophic as it is deceptively beautiful.
I had never heard of it until a couple of days ago. The whole idea of the book was really interesting. And the execution was fairly well done. I loved the characters. Though with Alex I was thinking ooh stalker. There wasn't really that much to explain their relationship either. Plus the book is totally surrounded on their relationship, what I have to say is the weakest part of the book. Remember this is my personal opinion so if you don't like what I'm saying then you don't have to read it. Anyways when I read books I don't really like it when they get all mushy and stuff. Well this one definitely had it's share of mushy moments. I don't mind it when a book is mushy if the rest of it isn't totally revolving around the relationship of the two main characters. Also if the two main characters are going to have a relationship I want to feel like they really love each other. In this book that was kinda lacking. Though overall I have to say I kinda enjoyed it. With all it's faults it was fun to read. Though quite forgettable.
